To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the school we have launched Northern Ireland’s first ever ‘Make-up Excellence Awards’, to recognise the wealth of talented student Make-up Artists who have attended my ‘Make-up School of Excellence’ in 2008.
This will be an annual event open to all Fashion and Photographic students that attended the school during the academic year.
The students will be judged by a panel of industry professionals including Style Academy director Tracey Hall, fashion photographer Jim Crone, make-up artist Claire McEvoy and Ulster Tatler assistant editor Lara Salmon, on the following categories: their thesis, portfolio and exam result, an interview and a themed make-up on a model.
The prizes include make-up from Mac, brushes from the Oonagh Boman Range, a portfolio shoot photographed by Jim Crone and a fashion spread in Ulster Bride. The winner and five finalists will also receive priceless publicity, which will hopefully generate lots of work for them.
