It doesn´t seem six months since Spring into Summer, but as we´ve spent the last month working on Fall for Fashion, I guess it must be!!
We started working on Fall for Fashion at the end of July. It´s very strange to be thinking about Autumn/ Winter trends in the middle of summer (even though the weather was more suited to A/W clothing this summer....) In the last month we have done numerous shoots to promote FFF, including shoots for Fate, Tatler and Eve, beginning with a shoot with this years face of FFF, Gemma.
This image will be used on the front cover of Fate, on the show tickets, invites, backdrops and adshells (the pictures on bustops) We decided on a very beautiful winter-white snowy theme, with a beautiful laser-cut dress bt Alan Beattie, one of the lecturers at the University of Ulster. Gemma has such an amazing face and suits any make-up, but to make the image an abit more edgy I decided on a dark blue graphic eye with soft pink lips.

Model: Gemma at Style Academy Photographer: Khara Pringle Make-up: Oonagh Boman
Styling: Sara O´Neill Artistic direction: Tracey Hall
We then did an amazing shoot for Fate magazine, using the retailers taking part in FFF, which was shot in the Titanic drawing office. The shoot was very hard and edgy, incorporating leather, studs, demin, sequins and lace in dark colours to give a really punky vibe. The make-up was dark sooty eyes, as if the models had been up all night partying which I then pulled out into an exaggerated feline shape. Keep an eye out for this months Fate to check it out! I´ll upload the pics here in the next week.
The shoot for Tatler was more classic in style so I complimented this with a classic smokey eye.
Then yesterday we did a huge 10-page shoot. It was shot in the opulent surroundings of Cafe Vaudeville. We wanted the models to look like glam rock groupies in the backstage VIP area, so clothes-wise there was sequins and beading everywhere, toughed up with boots, ripped tights, frayed denim and a slim silhouette. I used amazing false eye-lashes from I new range I have recently launched in the school, with dark blue eyes, and a thin flicked line under the eye.
Check out the website over the next month to check out all these pics!!

I run a street style blog (Fast Fashion) and spotted Gemma in work, just had to photograph her! The shoot looked very striking! x

It is really interesting reading about the business, it seems sooooo exciting. I didnt realise that Belfast had such a happening fashion scene. Will check out the mags and will look to see them on line. Would love to do the make-up course sometime soon, looks like theirs lots to learn.
